President inaugurates Dr. Nirmal Kumar Phadkule Auditorium at Solapur
	Solapur, December 29, 2012 The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee inaugurated the Dr. Nirmal Kumar Phadkule Auditorium  in Solapur today.  Speaking on the occasion the President hoped the auditorium will be helpful to young artists, sportspersons  and litterateurs in Solapur.  He also said the Solapur had a rich cultural  tradition and a number of Freedom fighters hailed  from Solapur. The President while expressing his deep sorrow at the passing away of the gang rape victim from Delhi today said such incidents should not recur again.  He said now it is responsibility of the whole country and society to ensure the dignity of our mothers, sisters and daughters. The Maharashtra Governor, Shri K. Shankaranarayan, The Maharashtra Chief Minister, Shri Prithviraj Chavan, The Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Shri Ghulam Nabi Azad, the Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, Ms. Kumari Selja, Maharashtra State Ministers, Madhukar Chavan and Laxman Dhgobale were also present on the occasion.
